Evenlode Landscape Recovery
One of the first Defra Landscape Recovery projects in delivery, and the first led by a farmer cluster. More than 50 farmers and land managers are restoring over 3,000 hectares across the Evenlode, Dorn and Glyme catchments under 20-year agreements. Natural flood management, wetlands and new habitat reduce flood risk and the pollution reaching the rivers. Infrastructure operators including SSEN, Network Rail and Oxfordshire County Council have committed to buy outcomes, alongside more than £100 million of public funding. Rebalance Earth invests in Evenlode Landscape Recovery, the vehicle delivering the project.
